Washing machine installation tips
When installing a new washing machine, some things to remember if you choose to DIY are:
- Make sure the hot hose is connected to the hot water tap – this will be marked as “H” on the back of the machine, or similar.
- Do not overtighten the hose when connecting it to the tap as this can damage the thread and make hose disconnection difficult
- Turn the feet at each corner of the base of the machine counter-clockwise until they are all level with the floor, which will help ensure the machine doesn’t vibrate during use.
- To avoid flooding the laundry with grey water, always remember to place the drainage hose in the laundry sink’s drainage outlet.

Our plumber will meet you onsite and run through any issues you have, he will then give you his/her recommendations and associated pricing, and once you are happy to proceed with one of those recommendations he will get to work. Only if you choose not to proceed with one of his/her recommendations would we simply ask you for $125 inc GST to cover his/her time on site and we will leave you a written quote to consider in your own time.
